In FCC unit, Does PSD of the catalyst effect the catalyst loss through stack?

They will surely affect the cat loss. Generally speaking more the fines, more the loss. By fine, I mean particles in 0-40 micorns range. Particles in this range will be difficult to contain from cyclones and will be lost eventually from the unit after some cycles. Some units have provision to collect stack particles and do PSD to check the size of the particles that are being lost. If you have such facility, that will give you the idea of the size upto which particles are being lost from the Regenerator stack. E mail for any more details.

Can you elaborate the question? There are many reasons for catalyst loss in FCC.

Directionally, yes. The fines are harder to contain.
