How much fuel gas (typically) can be used as stripping medium for the treatment of sour water (i.e. 150-170 kg of steam per m3 of sour water)?

If effluent from SWS goes to NH3-acid gas burner, it cannot contain HC. Stripping of SWS generally uses steam, rather than FG. Some gas stripping of contaminated water is practiced (e.g. benzene reduction), but quantity is less efficient than steam.

This is not easy to answer. Fuel gas stripping of sour water is very rarely applied. Fuel gas stripping of sour water was the first way to strip sour water from H2S and NH3. This is however 50 years back.
