Chemical decontamination using detergent circulations such as Life guard, Zymeflow etc., technologies will help in handling all the issues related to Pyrophoric iron (caused by the presence of Sulfur compounds), H2S, Benzene as well as LEL. This will mainly help in reducing overall handing overtime of the tanks for maintenance purposes.

With pyrophoric substances inside naphtha /crude oil tanks a remote cleaning technology would be required which is remotely operated and intrinsically safe from Tube Tech International.

Pyrophoric formation in naphtha/crude tanks is very likely to occur. We can provide technologies for both cleaning the tank(s) online and removing pyrophorics.

Yes, In principle there is always a risk of the formation of pyroforic FeS when H2S and water are present. The risks are higher with higher levels of H2S. The most easy way is to keep a system wet and not let it dry. This avoids ignition. Alternatives are chemical treatment with a mild oxidating agent. This removes the source of the problem.
