Is there any other chemical we can use than of PERC in UOP Platforming process?

Other Organic chlorides are available instead of PERC, but first need to consult the process vendors before proceeding use of other organic chlorides.

Perchloroethylene (perc) is the recommended chemical as special grades are used that have low contaminant levels. Other chloride containing chemicals have been used, but are not presently endorsed. They include propylene dichloride, trimethyl chloride, ethlyene dichloride, and trichloroethane,
