Is it possible to inject DCU Coke fine particles (~ equivalent PSD of FCC Catalyst) into FCC regenerator to avoid using torch oil and afterburning? What are the Pros and Cons of using the same? Please share the experience if any refinery tried the same.

Injecting DCU particles in the regenerator could have the potential to create coke in the reactor and possible catalyst contamination if the DCU feedstock has high levels of Fe. Using a Electrostatic Separator on the Main column bottoms could remove the fines from the system and provide a reduction in contamination and increased value for the CSO.
