The star shaped accessories are smoothening steam - air inspirators for producing a smokeless flame. It is actually a combination of star and bell arrangement with bells are perfectly aligned with star shaped objects. The star attached to steam tube will facilitate steam injection with high velocity into the bell (attached to the body of the flare tip) in front of it. When steam is injected, air will get sucked into the bell tube to supply additional oxygen to the flame to ensure complete combustion and hence a smokeless, environment friendly flare is produced.
