We are facing some problems of coke carryover from drums even on low throughput. This problem, as per analysis done by us, was caused by deagglomeration of coke particles which in turn were easily getting lifted at lower overhead vapor velocities.
What are the properties of Crude which help in agglomeration of coke particles?

This is the case of coke carryover from foaming . Over 90% of our foamovers occur during drum switch, when the drum depressures .Foamovers usually occur during feed composition changes, low coke drum outages, loss of antifoam injection, improper antifoam solutions, after drum switches, low coke drum temperatures or rapid depressuring to blowdown. Please examine these aspects.
