The USA Alkylation capacity is about 960,000 bpd and overall workld capacity is in the range of 1.2 Million barrels . So what I said before around 1.5 Million was 0.3 Million more than actual World alkylation capacity. Just a correction.

Global Alkylation capacity is estimated to be around 1.5 mm b/d . At present the largest units' capacity are in the range of 20,000 b/d. Refiners are building single unit with a capacity of 55 to 60,000 b/d unit at present and these are expected to come on stream by the end of next year or so.
