When dumping spent catalyst from a semi-regen reformer without a carbon burn: Is the catalyst usually passivated? What is the target LEL for stripping? What is the maximum bed temperature?

 2-Dumping such catalyst in air may lead to fire as the iron scale fines in reduced state are highly pyrophoric.
 3- Such catalyst dumped in inert as stated in 1 can be properly stored in drum using solid carbon dioxide and shipped for platinum recovery.
