For a crude distillation unit, what should be the top temperature of the column, draw off temperatures for naphtha, kerosene and diesel, and the bottom temperature of the column?

Establishing the optimum products to make from crude distillation is a task best solved with a good LP model like that available in PIMS. One simply cannot guess cutpoints, draw temperatures and the many other manipulated variables without knowing the objectives.

This answer has to start with questions: What are your production goals ( roduct, etc)? What crudes do you have access to? Then you can look at temperaturess, pressures, and recycle rates to achieve your economic goals
