Q & A > Question Details
We have a semi regen platforming uint and catalyst type UOP-R56.
During the regeneration after completion the nitrogen purge step, we not complete next step.
Now the reactors under positive nitrogen pressure for 30 days.
1-Is this situation adversely affects the catalyst after the oxidation and nitrogen purge steps?
2-what needs to done in this case?

Turnaround work delays are typically done between the coke burn step and the oxy-chlorination step with the catalyst kept under a nitrogen blanket during the delay time to avoid any issues with the regeneration. If the delay time for T/A is after the oxy-chlorination step, then it is likely this step will need to be repeated before going to reduction step.
