I believe the details pf the catalyst formulation are UOP proprietary information. But in generic terms, the key differences are that I-82 has higher activity and lower average bulk density than I-80 (hence lower cost for reactor fill) whilst retaining the same tolerance to oxygen-containing contaminants.
