Thumb Rule for Yield Prediction –
• Coke and liquid yields can be predicted by simple equation as under -
• Coke Yield (wt%) = 1.6 X (wt% feed CCR)
• Gas (C4 - ), wt% = 7.8 + 0.144 X (wt% feed CCR)
• Gasoline (wt%) = 11.29 + 0.343 X (wt% feed CCR)
• Gas Oil (wt%) = 100 – wt % coke – wt % gas – wt % Gasoline.
However it is always advisable to use pilot plant run data to establish the correlation & find the effects of Coil temp, RR, pressure, velocity on the yields & quality with different types of feeds( feed characterisation) one is likely to process.

Published correlations are based on feed API and concarbon. Operating companies start with those curves and modify them based on results from the actual operating unit. Product qualities are based on the feed qualities and how the products are fractionated. In addition, the coke qualities depend on operating conditions.

SARA analysis and Carbon Residue are few parameters based on which Refinery industries select feed for delayed coker unit. These two parameters are most critical for deciding the product yield .

Gary and Handwerk's Petroleum Refining Technology and Economics book has some correlations to predict coker yields. I'm not sure how good they are. You might be able to license a predictive model from KBC. The delayed coker licensors have their own proprietary yield models but I don't think they are likely to let anyone else use them.
