Generally speaking the ascending order of amount of heat of energy required for saturation reactions is as:
olefins, desulphurization, denitrifaction & lastly aromatic saturation.
However exact amount of energy required depends not only on the quantity of reactant species in feed but also on type of reactants. For e.g certain sulphur species follows direct desulphurisation route (i.e. DDS route) while certain sulphur species follows hydrogenation route (i.e. HYD route). Both routes are differently dependent on operating temperature & H2 partial pressure. As far as aromatic saturation is concerned the type of aromatic plays a crucial role in determining amount of heat required.
